Remember the Harvest | Upstate New York

An award-winning selection for the 13th Julia Margaret Cameron Award juried by Elisabeth Biondi and exhibited at FotoNostrum Gallery in Barcelona, Remember the Harvest is a study of mythic presence within the rural landscape. Captured in the late-day sun near the Vermont border, the series explores the intersection of ancient symbolism and modern editorial style.

The composition centers on a dramatic visual tension: the intricate, golden geometry of the halo crown against the soft, receding textures of the harvest fields. By treating the subject as a “terrestrial deity,” I have reimagined the tradition of agricultural documentation as a fall fashion narrative. It is a visual ode to the season’s abundance, where the light itself becomes a tactile element, weaving the subject into the very fabric of the landscape’s history.
